DISCOVER TRUE GRECIAN WONDER

Ancient sights, friendly seaside tavernas and shops, whitewashed villages, and Mykonos nightlife—there’s no other country quite like Greece and, with an 10-night intensive voyage aboard the Azamara QuestSM, you’ll get to see it all.

Your journey begins in the cradle of European civilization—Athens. You’ll have one more chance to drink in the spellbinding beauty of the Acropolis and take one last stroll of the Central Market before you embark.

Our first stop along this immersive journey, Milos beckons with its impossibly clear, calm waters and dramatic volcanic landscape. Next we have four late night stays in four amazing destinations worth exploring more. Mykonos is your next stop, with its charming shops, bars, and restaurants tucked next to traditional whitewashed homes and churches. After dark, bars and clubs light up, and you’ll be glad we stayed late. From here, discover the many epic landmarks of Ephesus. Walk in the footsteps of St. Paul at the Amphitheater and explore the house where Mary, Mother of Jesus, once lived.

On Rhodes, ponder a knight’s life as you stroll to the old medieval town from the ship before making your way to the gem of the Aegean, Santorini. We stay late here, so take your time strolling the bustling streets and volcanic beaches before finishing your day with a glass of Vinsanto (a sweet, strong dessert wine).

Chania is next on the itinerary. The second-largest city in Crete with a distinctly Italian air, spend your day exploring its Greek, Ottoman, and Roman influences and unique history before spending a night at sea en route to the turquoise Greek port of Argostoli for another late stay. Then it’s off to the picturesque island of Corfu—a late-night stay here means you can fully immerse yourself in its unique beauty that blends olive trees, turquoise waters, and the maze-like cobblestone streets of Old Town.

A relaxing day at sea allows you to rest and recharge before arriving at our final destination, the romantic city of Venice. Tour its cobblestone streets and overarching bridges, or take to the water and explore the canals before heading home.

DAY 1 Athens, Greece

Date:Tue 27-Sep 2022

Depart:6:00 pm

Start your journey in Piraeus with an archaeological walk past landmarks like the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Ancient Agora, and of course, the Acropolis. Afterwards, head to the Central Market for a feast of fresh fruit and veggies, nuts, olives, and Grecian cheese. Finally, check out a local taverna where you can rub elbows with the locals well into the wee hours of the night.

Milos, Greece

DAY 2 Milos

Date:Wed 28-Sep 2022

Arrival:8:00 am

Depart:6:00 pm

Milos might be a lesser known Aegean island, but what it lacks in acclaim, it makes up for in otherworldly beauty. An island shaped by time, history, natural forces, and a mineral mining industry that carved the island’s spectacular landscape with dramatic volcanic formations, white sandstone beaches, mysterious caves.

Mykonos, Greece

DAY 3 Mykonos

Date:Thu 29-Sep 2022

Arrival:8:00 am

Depart:10:00 pm

Picture perfect is the best way to describe Mykonos. Idyllic in every way, from the brilliant blue water in its harbor to the rows of 16th-century Venetian windmills, Mykonos is a postcard come to life! Spend your days strolling delightful cobblestone streets and visiting artisan craft shops. And when the sun goes down, discover why locals refer to this hedonistic city as the Ibiza of Greece!

Ephesus, Turkey

DAY 4 Ephesus, Turkey

Date:Fri 30-Sep 2022

Arrival:8:00 am

Depart:10:00 pm

Kusadasi has many charms, but let’s talk Turkey: The star attraction is Ephesus. Once the second largest city in the Roman Empire, its marble-made Arcadian Street stretches from the 24,000-capacity Great Theatre (where St. Paul used to preach) to the harbor. Nearby sites include the Temple of Artemis, Basilica of St. John, and House of Virgin Mary, where Mary is supposed to have spent her last days.

DAY 5 Rhodes

Date: Sat 1-Oct 2022

Arrival:8:00 am

Depart:9:00 pm

First on your agenda should be the Rhodes waterfront where once stood the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Just a short ride away, the medieval town of Lindos features houses stacked like giant sugar cubes on a steep hill. Hitch a donkey ride to the acropolis at the top for spectacular views of the town and Saint Paul’s Bay.

DAY 6 Santorini

Date:Sun 2-Oct 2022

Arrival:8:00 am

Depart:8:00 pm

The capital, Fira, clings to the rim of the caldera 900 feet above the sea. Take the cable car, or giddy up on a donkey to climb the 588 steps to the top. Hike to nearby Oia, a quintessential Greek village. Head south to the 3,500-year-old Minoan town Akrotiri. Often called Greece’s answer to Pompeii, the well-preserved ruins provide a glimpse into Santorini’s storied (and explosive) past.

DAY 7 Chania/Crete

Date:Mon 3-Oct 2022

Arrival:8:00 am

Depart:5:00 pm

Venetian splendor gives Crete's second largest city a distinctly Italian air. Greek and Ottoman influences add to the city's unique history and culture—each era certainly worth exploring. Framed by a dramatic mountain backdrop, Chania is an exceptional destination for history buffs, with plenty of tavernas and cafés to recharge after a day of discovery.

DAY 8 Argostoli

Date:Tue 4-Oct 2022

Arrival:1:00 pm

Depart:8:00 pm

The capital and “heart” of the Greek Island of Kefalonia, Argostoli is a modern town with a traditional soul. With its stunning display of stalactites and stalagmites, the famous Drogati Cave and underground Melissani Lake routinely top must-see lists—plus the vibrant Plateia Vallianou Square.

DAY 9 Corfu

Date:Wed 5-Oct 2022

Arrival:8:00 am

Depart:8:00 pm

It's one of the most popular Greek Isles for good reason. Explore the cobblestoned streets of Old Town in search of handcrafted treasures or while away the day on a sandy beach in town, or head out to the charming countryside. Here you'll find olive groves, lemon trees, and rugged cliffs that are more than postcard-worthy.
